Melanie Lane
Melanie Lane has appeared in many film, music video, t.v., and stage productions as a featured Bellydancer. She is known and sought out for her passionate performance style and technical finesse, and has worked closely and collaborated with the top dancers and musicians in Bellydance. Melanie has trained in Middle Eastern dances since 1995 and focuses on the Golden Age, Classical Raqs Sharqi, American Cabaret, and Modern Fusion styles. She is a cross-trained professional dancer whose talents have been recognized by the LA Opera and contemporary dance artists.
Melanie is the Artistic Director, main Choreographer, and a Principal Dancer for Co Nouveau.
Alia Mohamed
An esteemed Los Angeles based belly dancer, Alia Mohamed leaves crowds in a trance with her vintage style, timeless beauty, and hypnotic hips. Coming from a Lebanese background and a family of musicians, Alia has an intrinsic understanding of Middle Eastern music and dance. She has studied belly dance intensively for over ten years and is highly influenced by the belly dancers of Egypt in the 50s and 60s, the “Golden Era of Belly Dance.” Alia channels this classic style of belly dance, characterized by improvisation, simplicity, and glamour, mesmerizing crowds worldwide.
Devon
Devon is a Los Angeles native Bellydancer who has been studying Middle Eastern Dance since 2002. She has a strong background in American Cabaret Bellydance, Turkish style Bellydance, Raq Sharqi Bellydance, Tribal Fusion, and many Folk dance forms from North Africa and the Middle East. Devon has studied these styles with world class teachers and experts such as Ansuya, Aubre Hill, Elizabeth Strong, Kami Liddle, Karim Nagi, Jill Parker, Melanie Kareem, Melanie Lane, Rachel Brice, Rosa Rojas, Sahra Saeeda, Sonia Ochoa, Zoe Jakes and many more. She has also studied and continues to study different dance forms such as Classical Persian dance, Classical Indian dances, Turkish Rom, Flamenco, Indonesian, Polynesian, Tahitian, Salsa, Modern Jazz and Ballet. Devon has performed professionally throughout the Los Angeles area since 2006 and she currently teaches private dance lessons and performs regulary for public and private events. Her style has been characterized as earthy and sensual yet classy and elegant.
